Want a way to help your school's parents feel special during this CV-19 time?
The CHEW CV-19 Partnership is a short-term project. A bespoke, creative, considered and appropriately supportive response, to enable school leaders to support their children, by resourcing their parents in a new and innovative way through these weeks – for as long as this situation goes on.
Do we understand?
There are many families struggling with the current situation. Whilst the most vulnerable are still having essential regular contact from CFSW or Social Workers and School staff, there are hundreds who are not.
The long-term impact of this pandemic on children is obviously unknown at the moment – what I do know (from decades of experience in this field) is that parents often struggle to understand their children’s behaviour.
Children who are living through an experience that has turned their daily routine upside down and stopped them being able to do some of their favourite things and visit their favourite people, will be trying to express themselves in ways that they NEED their people to understand.
In 2017, 1 in 8 children had a diagnosable mental health condition.
How we respond to children now will impact the statistics for 2021.
Imagine this...
Picture one of your parents at the end of another exhausting day in isolation with their children. Taking solace in their phone, they find the message from you. One simple click and they watch a short video that makes sense, brings insight, reassurance and hope for tomorrow - and the next day.
Imagine how they might feel listening to a short video from a Children's Mental Health Expert, but made just for them - because you arranged it.
.
Imagine their relief as they understand what's behind the 'odd' stuff they are experiencing with their child.
Imagine their appreciation of the gentle expert guidance in what they can do differently tomorrow to support their child.
Imagine their gratitude that you provided this support for them.

In her words...
"Helping people 'get' their children is one of the things I feel I was put on this earth to do. I have been doing this work in different ways, locally, nationally and internationally for over 2 decades. I'd love to stand with you in supporting your community too."
